Where was I??

Over the weekend, I didn't do any blogging-- I enjoyed the beautiful sunny day on Saturday playing outside with the kids and doing outside projects, and then Sunday, after going to an antique show and my niece's birthday party, I went to the U2 concert at MSU! My hubby bought me tickets in November 2009 for the June 2010 concert- and then it was postponed until Sunday. I've been a U2 fan for a long time and it was awesome to get to see a U2 concert! The weather could not have been any better- it was warm with a nice breeze- just a beautiful night to be at a concert outside! Plus it was in Lansing so we had a little bit of time to drive around and look at more neighborhoods and houses. Fun stuff!

Rite Aid Shopping

I made it to Rite Aid this morning--they were out of the Crest toothpaste that was on sale for $2.69 with a $2.69 +Up Reward, but they had the toothbrushes. I had $8.97 in +Up Rewards to use and figured that would be a great way to use them and get +Up Rewards back. I also saw they had Vitamin Water on sale for $1 with a $1 +Up Reward when you bought 5 and figured I'd buy more of that. I stopped drinking all sodas a couple weeks ago and am hooked on Vitamin Water Zero now...

2- Oral B Toothbrushes or Crest Outlast Toothpaste- $2.69 (get $2.69 +Up Reward)- limit 2
2- $1.00 off Oral B Toothbrush coupon from P&G mailer
** $1.69 each PLUS $2.69 +Up Reward for each one! **

5- Vitamin Water Zero- $1.27 each ($1.59 before 20% Wellness Plus discount)
** $1 +Up Reward for buying 5! **

For some reason, the Vitamin Water Zero did not ring up on sale- the manager said that it was only regular Vitamin Water on sale with the +Up Reward. I already had 5 at the register and I had enough +Up Rewards to pretty much cover them, so I figured I'd still buy 5 and just hope for the +Up Reward to still work. Sure enough, it did. I may call Rite Aid customer service on that one and see if they should have rang up at $1 also.... if they were $1, I'd definitely go back for more this week!

$15.93 before coupons and discounts
-$4.20 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$2.00 coupons
-$8.97 previously earned +Up Rewards
---------------------------------------
$.76 subtotal
+ $.32 tax
=======================================
** $1.08 OOP PLUS $6.38 more in +Up Rewards earned! **

Boost your Swag Bucks

I know I'm always talking about Swag Bucks, but I love earning gift cards and want to help you earn them too!

Here are some great ways to earn points:

-Daily Polls- every day there is a new poll and when you vote, you get 1 Swag Buck

-NOSO (No obligation special offers)- every day you can click through the special offers and when you get to the end you get 2 Swag Bucks when you enter the phrase listed on the screen

-Trusted Surveys- just for checking to see if you have any new surveys you get 1 Swag Buck. You can also check and see what survey profiles you have available and you will receive the number of advertised Swag Bucks for completing each profile. Plus, you can complete the surveys and earn the posted amount of Swag Bucks. Each week it varies, but weekly I earn anywhere 100-350 Swag Bucks! I have much better luck with these surveys than with some of the other survey sites I use.

-Coupons- any coupon that is on coupons.com can be printed through the coupons tab. Print and use the coupon and get 10 Swag Bucks for each redeemed coupon. The credits take 8-12 weeks to credit to your account and the credits are only for redeemed coupons. Be a coupon fairy and leave any coupons you don't plan to use at the store for even more Swag Bucks!

-Special Offers (my new favorite!)- earn Swag Bucks for random offers- watching videos, signing up for email newsletters, etc. I suggest creating an email account just for this so that you don't get a bunch of junk emails in your regular email. There are several different tabs to click when you go into Special Offers, and I've had the best luck going to Gambit and Radium One. I've earned a LOT of Swag Bucks since I found this section.

-Videos- On your Swag Bucks main page, look for the "WATCH A VIDEO EARN 2 BONUS BUCKS" to show on the screen. Click the image, watch the video and get 2 Swag Bucks. Keep clicking the image on the main page and keep earning 2 Swag Bucks per video until it says that there are no more available videos- I've earned 10-30 points each day now that I've been watching for this! I do have more luck getting more videos early in the morning, and throughout the day videos are added and removed so I would recommend checking this multiple times a day.

-Searching/ Surfing- Instead of just typing in websites you plan on visiting, search using Swag Bucks and you will possibly WIN Swag Bucks. They are random, and your chances and amount of Swag Bucks are higher on Mega Swag Bucks Fridays. Sometimes you just get the credit, other times you may have to enter a phrase or word to verify that you are a real person.

-Refer your friends and family- You can refer friends and family and you earn points for their wins as well up to 1000 points. If you do decide to sign up, please use the links in my Swag Bucks postings or put down Sarahspendsless as your referral. Then start referring your friends to boost your Swag Bucks. Just make sure that you only have one account per household (address) or else you risk both accounts being revoked.

Do you have any other tips? I am going crazy earning Swag Bucks right now!

** $29.89 OOP! ** I'd say that's pretty good for $57.72 worth of goodies! I was quite surprised at this transactions because I ended up getting a little bit of overage on all the $.97 travel items because they didn't mark down my $1 coupons.

Q-Tips- get $5 Target gift card for buying 4! Works on all sizes!
1- Q-Tips 170 ct- $1.89
3- Q-Tips 375 ct- $2.39

Rite Aid shopping

I had +Up Rewards expiring this week and wanted to use them up. I had a $3 off $15 to use and figured I'd try for Colgate toothpaste which was free after +Up Rewards and buy Ziploc bags to make up the difference to get to $15. I went to the Cork St. store and they had one package of Colgate, so I picked that up and then got 4 boxes of Ziploc bags. That would not have brought my total quite to $15, so I grabbed 2 bubble wands which were BOGO. When I got to the register, I asked the cashier about getting a raincheck for the toothpaste- it was on sale for $2.99 with a $2.99 +Up Reward and I had $.75 off coupons.

The manager overheard me asking and volunteered to go in the back and check for more- and sure enough, she came out with an armful! The limit to the +Up Reward was 4, so I bought 4. I split the transactions, and if I would have been thinking (and if they weren't already rang up) I wouldn't have bought as many Ziploc bags, but still ended up getting a great deal. Plus, I used my expiring +Up Rewards, and managed earn more +Up Rewards to keep rolling the fun!

Transaction #1

2- Colgate toothpaste- $2.99 (get $2.99 +Up Reward!)
2- $.75 off coupons from 6/5 SS
** $2.24 OOP PLUS $2.99 +Up Reward for each one! **

4- Ziploc Bags- $2.50 sale (3 ended up ringing up at $2.39 with my Wellness Plus discount)
2- $1 off 2 coupons from 5/15 SS
** $1.89 each for 3, $2 for the other 1 **

2- Bubble Wands- $1.99 BOGO

I was happy to get some more free toothpaste-- I had a moment of panic last week when I checked my stockpile and saw I 'only' had 2 tubes of toothpaste left. Toothpaste seems to be one of the easiest items to stockpile, so I feel like I'm always getting it and giving my freebies to friends and family. I hadn't realized that I was down to my last 2 tubes! Not anymore-- and next week there will be a free after +Up Reward for Crest, so hopefully I'll get some of that so I can get back to giving away my extras.

Rite Aid Shopping

I forgot to put one of my hubby's Father's Day gifts in the picture... we did 2 trips to Rite Aid this week. I didn't see any super deals, but I had some +Up Rewards to use by next week and I didn't see that much in next week's ad and figured I'd use some towards diapers & wipes. I had 2 more $3 off Huggies diapers coupons that were expiring.

Transaction #1

i-Tunes $25 gift card
$5 in ad coupon

** $20 for a $25 gift card!! **

Transaction #2

Huggies Diapers- $8.99
$3.00 off printable previously available
** $5.99 **

Huggies Wipes- $6.79 (get $1 +Up Reward) ~~ advertised at $6.99 but 20% Wellness Plus discount was higher
$1.00 off coupon from homemailer
** $5.79 PLUS $1.00 +Up Reward earned! **

I had a bit of a mixup at the register- I checked out at the pharmacy because I was picking up a prescription, and used more +Up Rewards than I planned. I was using

$42.47 before coupons and discounts
-$7.70 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$3.00 off $15 coupon
-$7.00 coupons
-$20.00 +Up Rewards
====================
$4.77 subtotal (my prescription was $10 but some of my +Up Rewards went towards that)
+ $1.31 tax
====================
$6.08
-$6.08 HSA account
====================
$0 OOP!! PLUS $1.00 +Up Reward earned!

I was in a hurry and a bit distracted by my boys who were messing with the cane display by the pharmacy and should have paid better attention to what I was doing. I was using my HSA for the prescription, so instead of wasting +Up Rewards on my prescription (which I didn't realize you could do), I would have used a different combination of +Up Rewards. Still a good trip overall though. Who can complain though when you don't pay anything for 2 packs of diapers and a pack of wipes?

Great trip to Meijer!

It's been quite awhile since I've posted a good Meijer shopping trip. I got my coupons partially organized yesterday and got coupons and a list ready for Meijer shopping today. I waited until today because of the 2 day sale (today and tomorrow). I did two separate transactions so that I could use the $4 Catalina I earned in the first transaction on the second one.

Use the links on the top left sidebar to check out the matchups this week at Meijer.

$182.62 before coupons and discounts
-$1.30 bottle returns
-$62.67 sales & Meijer promotions
-$28.99 coupons
================
** $89.66 OOP! **

Some of the highlights from what I found in my coupon stack yesterday...
- Various $1 off 2 Kelloggs coupons I had found inside a box of cereal
- FREE Land O Lakes butter using coupon from mail in offer
- $2 off MPerks coupon
- $.14 Kraft salad dressing- found $.55 off printed coupons in my coupon stash, was on sale for $1.69 buy 5 items, get $5 off= $.14!!
- 12 boxes of Kelloggs cereal- ALL had the Cars 2 promotion on the box, so with these 12 I can get $15 in gas cards (3- $5 GAS gift cards)!!
- LOTS of stuff for Smores to take on vacation in July! Buy 3 grahams, get FREE milk (which I was going to buy anyways), PLUS printable coupon for $1 off when you buy 2 Hersheys!
- found a couple Catalina coupons from Meijer for Cottonelle- $2 off each pack- making that a good deal on TP after the $4 Kimberly Clark Catalina

Busy busy!

Sorry for the lack of postings... I haven't done much of shopping this week. I am working on my list and getting my coupons organized for a trip to Meijer tomorrow-it looks like I'll get some pretty good deals.

I had a HUGE coupon mess that I'm sorting through today and will hopefully get my coupon binder back in order. I tend to slack on coupon organization- instead of just spending a little time each week, I tend to let 4-6 weeks go by and then have a huge mess to sort through.

While I'm going through my coupons, I'm also watching for coupons that would potentially make for freebies at a double-coupon Meijer. I'm heading over to Lansing next week to look at houses and will hopefully have a little time (with no kids!) to stop into a Meijer and get some deals. I can't wait to see the ad preview for next week when it's posted tomorrow to see if it will be a good sale week!

Kelloggs deals at Meijer

I got a great deal on cereal last night at Meijer... I'll definitely be going back for more this week! We were getting pretty low on cereal.

A variety of Kelloggs cereals are $2.50 each this week at Meijer AND when you buy 4, you get $2.00 off instantly!!

Here's what I ended up buying- you can use the link for Kelloggs to print whichever coupons you need, or you can use the $1 off 3 coupon from the 6/5 SS or 5/15 RP.

2- Corn Pops
2- Rice Krispies
used
$1.00 off 2 Rice Kripies
2- $.70 off Corn Pops printable

$10.00- $2.40 coupons- $2.00 instant savings= $5.60 for FOUR big boxes of cereal!

PLUS, if you pick the right cereal, you can get a variety of rewards from Kelloggs, including a $5 gas card, $5 concession cash for the movies or a cool Cars 2 soccer ball! I have already ordered the soccer ball (my oldest son saw the picture and really wanted it!) from codes we got on Nutri Grain boxes a couple months ago. After you sign up, make sure to open any emails from Kelloggs- a few weeks ago I got an email with an extra bonus code.

I also had a $2 off $2 purchase coupon in my MPerks account to use, so I only ended up paying $3.60 for 4 boxes of cereal! If you haven't yet signed up for MPerks, sign up now! It's a great program to save even more at Meijer- and the coupons you "clip" are stackable with manufacturer coupons! All you need to have is a phone that can receive texts to sign up. Not only do you get normal coupons but you also get coupons like this one about once a month or so where it's $2 or $5 off your transaction.

-$3.00 off $15.00 survey coupon

NOW, that's it, I'm done at Rite Aid for the week.... and now have to find a way to spend my $27.00 in +Up Rewards over the next 2 weeks.

CHEAP Bounty paper towels at Home Depot!

Earlier this week For the Mommas posted something about single Bounty paper towels being cheap at Home Depot. I didn't rush out to check the price here I never find the random deals as cheap here as I see online-- but I had a few errands to run this morning and needed to go to Home Depot anyways... and was pleasantly surprised to see the single rolls of Bounty paper towels were priced at $.70 at the Portage Home Depot! And they had tons! I had 4 coupons from Sunday's paper (which is the max for using P&G coupons in one visit).

8- Bounty paper towels- single roll, basic- $.70
4- $1.00 off 2 Bounty single rolls from 6/4 P&G

I'd like to say this is my last Rite Aid trip, but...

I have one more Rite Aid trip left this week after this one- I have more coupons coming from a friend and once I get them I will go back.

I went to Rite Aid this morning- it went better. I needed $11.64 in Neutrogena- I got $14.38 and I needed $13.64 in Aveeno- I got $16.37. I had written down some examples of scenarios before I went in, and did pretty well keeping close to what I needed to spend to get the +Up Reward and getting things we use.

Transaction #1

4- Oral B Cross Action Power Toothbrush- $5.99 (get $2.99 +UP Reward- limit 4)
4- $3.00 off coupon from 6/5 P&G
** $2.99 OOP PLUS $2.99 +Up Reward! **

Envelopes $2.95 ($3.69 before Wellness Plus discount)- I needed envelopes and like the kind you don't have to lick, so yes, I paid more for these.

$35.65 before coupons and discounts
-$8.74 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$12.00 coupons
-$10.00 +Up Reward redeemed
-$3.00 off $15.00 survey coupon
-------------------------
$1.91 subtotal
+ $1.43 tax
=========================
$3.34 OOP PLUS 4- $2.99 +Up Rewards earned!

Transaction #2-

Neutrogena Pure Baby Face Stick- $7.99 ($9.99 before Wellness Plus 20% discount)
$2.00 off Neutrogena sun printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $4.49 **

Neutrogena Naturals Facial Cleanser- $6.39 ($7.99 before Wellness Plus 20% discount)
$1.00 off Neutrogena naturals printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $3.89 **

Aveeno Lotion- $2.79 ($3.49 before Wellness Plus discount)
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $1.29 **

Aveeno Baby Lotion- $4.79 ($5.99 before Wellness Plus discount)
$1.00 off printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $2.29 **

Aveeno Baby Sun Lotion- $8.79 ($10.99 before Wellness Plus discount)
$2.00 off printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $5.29 **

$38.45 before coupons and discounts
-$7.70 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$13.50 coupons
-$15.00 +Up Reward redeemed
-------------------------
$2.25 subtotal
+ $1.85 tax
=========================
$4.10 OOP PLUS $10 Aveeno +Up Reward AND $10.00 Neutrogena +Up Reward earned!

Total for both transactions:

$74.09 before coupons and discounts
-$16.44 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$25.50 coupons
-$25.00 +Up Rewards redeemed
-$3.00 off $15.00 survey coupon
-----------------------------
$4.15 subtotal
+ $3.28 tax
=============================
** $7.44 OOP for everything!! **

So, I started out with $25 in +Up Rewards, and ended up spending $7.44 out of pocket and leaving with $31.96 in +Up Rewards. Not too bad! I was also happy because I went to the Cork St. store again (where they have been EXTRA nice and coupon friendly lately!) and was impressed that they had the in-ad coupons taped to the products all over the store and let me use multiple in-ad coupons in the same transations.

And another Rite Aid trip

Rite Aid shopping rarely goes as plannned! I went to Rite Aid (yes, again) yesterday because I was close to finishing up the spend $50, get $15 +Up Reward for skincare items and since there was also a spend $30 get $10 +Up Reward on Neutrogena and Aveeno I wanted to double dip. Well, I should have paid closer attention. I had a great scenario figured, and then when the +Up Reward did not print out, I realized that there were TWO separate spend $30 get $10 +UP Rewards- one for Neutrogena, and one for Aveeno. So, I finished up my $50 and got my $15 +Up Reward, but I was more than halfway to both the others. What do you do in that situation?? You figure out a couple more scenarios and go for both!

Transaction #1

Neutrogena Sport Face Lotion- $8.79 ($10.99 before Wellness Plus 20% discount)
$2.00 off Neutrogena sun printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $5.29 **

Aveeno Face Block- $8.79 ($10.99 before Wellness Plus discount)
$2.00 off printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $5.29 **

$21.98 before coupons and discounts
-$4.40 Wellness Plus savings
-$7.00 coupons
-$3.00 off $15.00 survey coupon
-$2.00 previously earned +Up Reward
-------------------
$5.58 subtotal
+ $.87 tax
===================
** $6.45 OOP **

Transaction #2

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Lotion- $9.59 ($11.99 before Wellness Plus 20% discount)
$2.00 off Neutrogena sun printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $6.09 **

Aveeno Baby Wash- $4.79 ($5.99 before Wellness Plus discount)
$1.00 off printable
$1.50 off in-ad coupon
** $2.29 **

Aveeno Lotion- $2.79 ($3.49 before Wellness Plus discount)
$2.00 off printable from Recyclebank
$1.50 off in-ad coupon (marked down to $.79 so no overage)
** FREE **

$21.47 before coupons and discounts
-$4.30 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$8.79 coupons
-$3.00 off $15.00 survey coupon
-----------------
$5.38 subtotal
+ $.85 tax
=================
** $6.23 OOP **

$43.45 before coupons and discounts
-$8.70 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$15.79 coupons
-$6.00- 2- $3 off $15 survey coupons
-$2.00 previously earned +Up Rewards
---------------------------
$10.96 subtotal
+ $1.72
===========================
** $12.68 OOP **

And then comes the GASP and the look of surprise... and the +Up Reward doesn't print and I realize why... and back home for recalculating and a fresh start tomorrow.

I just really screwed up this time.... I had a $10 +Up Reward I could have used to lower my OOP but since I separated my transactions I couldn't. I ended this trip with $25 in +Up Rewards to spend, $13.64 away from the Aveeno $10 +Up Rewards, and $11.64 away from the Neutrogena +Up Reward.

So much fun at Rite Aid!

Rite Aid can be frustrating, but it is fun when things work out! I went to 2 stores on 2 different days.... I wanted to take advantage of the Veet moneymaker, but the first store I went to only had one. I bought it, hoping that it would track through the Wellness card. It didn't. But, I had a very nice manager at the second store I went to who was willing to "return" both and "purchase" both together in one transaction so that I could get my +UP Reward. It made it a bit more complicated, but it worked out in the long run!

Here's what I ended up getting:

Veet- $5.19 ($6.49 before Wellness Plus discount)- buy 2, get $5 +Up Reward!
$2.00 off printable
$2.00 in-ad coupon
** $1.19 OOP **

2- Secret- 2 for $7 (spend $30 in select P&G products, get $10 +Up Reward)
2- $1.00 off coupons from P&G Everyday Savings booklet
Buy 2 Secret, get free Secret body spray coupon from 6/5 P&G
** $5.00 for 2 deodorants AND a body spray PLUS all 3 items counted towards the P&G +UP Reward **

Duracell Batteries- $5.00 (spend $30 in select P&G products, get $10 +UP Reward)
$1.00 off coupon from direct mailer
** $4.00 PLUS counted towards P&G +Up Reward **

$31.95 before coupons and discounts
-$11.26 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$3.00 off $15.00 coupon
-$4.00 previously earned +UP Rewards
-$10.50 coupons
================
$3.19 subtotal
+ $1.06 tax
================
** $4.25 total OOP! **

Transaction (and store) #2

Veet- $5.19 ($6.49 before Wellness Plus discount)- buy 2, get $5 +Up Reward!
$2.00 off printable
$2.00 in-ad coupon
** $1.19 OOP **

$6.49 before coupons and discounts
-$1.30 Wellness Plus savings
-$4.00 coupons
====================
$1.19 subtotal
+ $.31 tax
====================
** $1.50 OOP!! Plus $5 +Up Reward earned!! **

This didn't print for me, but my cashier took this receipt, and my receipt from the other day and returned both items, and repurchased them both in one transaction so the +UP Reward would print. It was very nice of her!

Transaction #3

Duracell Batteries- 8 pk Ultra AA- $5.00 (spend $30 in select P&G products, get $10 +UP Reward)
$2.00 off Duracell ultra batteries from P&G coupon booklet found inside of some razors I bought
** $3.00 PLUS counts towards P&G +Up Reward! **

Gilette Venus Razor Refills- 4 ct- $9.59 (spend $30 in select P&G products, get $10 +UP Reward) PLUS get free shave cream ($2.99 value) when you buy Venus refills!
$2.00 off Venus razors or refills from P&G direct mailer
** $7.59 for razors AND shave cream! Plus counts towards the P&G +Up Reward! **
I would have also used the buy Venus refills, get free Olay lotion coupon from 6/5 P&G, but the store I went to did not carry that type of lotion...

Dial Hand soap- $2.29 BOGO (get $2 +Up Reward when you buy 2!)
** $2.29 OOP, get $2 +Up Reward!! **

$29.55 before coupons and discounts
-$12.67 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$5.00 previously earned +Up Reward
-$4.00 coupons
============================
$7.88 OOP
+ $1.01 tax
============================
** $8.89 OOP!! Plus $2 +Up Reward AND $10 P&G +Up Reward!!

$67.99 before coupons and discounts
-$25.23 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$18.50 coupons
-$9.00 previously earned +Up Rewards
-$3.00- $3 off $15 survey coupons
=======================
$12.26 subtotal
+ $2.38 tax
=======================
$14.64 total OOP! PLUS $10 AND $2 +Up Reward left to spend!

I'll already let you know I will be going back again... I will be getting some Neutrogena & Aveeno products since they each have a $10 +Up Reward when you buy $30 AND they count towards the $15 when you spend $50 +Up Reward (this one is a monthly).

Just bought my first groupon!

I just bought my first Groupon today! For $20 I bought two tickets, two combo meal vouchers, and two tokens at Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek (up to a $42.90 value). An adult ticket alone is $12.95 so this one is a great deal!

Go here to check it out-- hurry if you're interested-- last week I was thinking about buying one but by the time I got around to ordering it it was sold out!

** Make this deal even better by ordering it using the daily deals on Swag Bucks! I got a bonus 160 Swag Bucks instantly for ordering this!!

Wipes deal at Amazon- still available!

I posted this last week and this deal is still available if you need wipes- if you do subscribe and save they ship for FREE!

I got a great deal on Pampers Wipes today at Amazon... Pampers Thick Care 7x Wipes- 504 ct for only $9.79 per package SHIPPED through subscribe and save! I also saw a coupon available to clip on the screen that was for an additional $.50 off! I picked these because there are 7 packages of 72 wipes in the soft plastic packs- great for home or in the diaper bag!

I ended up ordering 2 packages so that my total was over $25 (before the 30% subscribe & save discount) which extended my Amazon Mom subscription another month. And, of course I paid nothing out of pocket because I used Amazon gift cards earned through Swag Bucks!

Heads up on diapers...

I have read a couple different places recently that diaper prices would be going up soon... I found an article online that indicates that Kimberly Clark will be raising the price of Huggies beginning June 19 and lasting through September. The article I read this morning (from March) indicates an expected increase of 7%.

So, if you didn't buy Huggies this week at Rite Aid... you might want to consider making a stockup trip today. Otherwise, watch during the next couple weeks for diaper deals and stockup! I think we're doing pretty well with diapers now (I counted yesterday and we have over 20 jumbo packs)... and I just got more wipes at Rite Aid and Amazon. Procter and Gamble is also reported to raise their prices on Pampers diapers by 7% and wipes by 3%.

I'll try to keep my eye out for good stockup prices at Amazon (or anywhere else I find). If you're not into drugstore shopping but want to get good prices, using the Subscribe and Save option at Amazon can get you some very good prices also.

Target shopping too!

I had a few things to pick up at Target today. I wanted to post this to show you a couple things. First of all, you can get decent deals and freebies at Target, if you're not ready to jump into drugstore shopping. Second, I do occasionally buy things without a coupon-- I was just talking to a cousin this morning about if I ever pay full price, and the answer is YES. I paid full price for several things- and I even bought something that I think I have a coupon for somewhere but I didn't bring it with me and I still bought it!

Here are the highlights of my trip:

2- Nexcare Kids bandaids 20 ct- Shrek or Strawberry Shortcake $1.87
$1.00 off 2 Nexcare
2- $1.00 off Nexcare kids bandaids Target printable
** $.37 each! **
~~ I had actually printed a $1 off Nexcare coupon a few weeks ago, which is no longer available, so I got both of these for FREE-- but if you need bandaids I thought you might want to stockup for $.37! ~~

20- Vitamin Water- $1 each BUY 10, get free 6 pk Smart Water
4- $1.00 off 5 Vitamin Water coupons
** $.80 each for the Vitamin water PLUS 2- 6pks of Smart Water= $.50 per bottle!! **

$59.37 before coupons and discounts
PAID $34.79 OOP

I paid FULL PRICE for Up brand's children's Zyrtec, Crayola colored pencils, hand sanitizer AND a coloring book from the dollar spot. I was planning on buying a small bottle of hand sanitizer for $1.89- but when I was that it was 8 oz, and for $4.59 I could buy 32 oz, I figured I'd just use the big bottle as a refill. Sometimes it's better to buy smaller, but times like this it isn't! I am pretty sure I have a Up brand hand sanitizer coupon printed somewhere, but I have a big coupon mess right now and didn't bring them in with me.

More Rite Aid shopping

Yes, I did it. I went back to Rite Aid for more sunscreen. I like having several bottles of sunscreen- one for home, one for daycare, one for the car, one to leave on the boat, etc. So, I'm happy to stockup now while it's close to free. I normally just buy traditional sunscreen lotions, but because it's so cheap I figured I'd get some of the spray lotion.

Banana Boat Sunscreen- Buy one, get one FREE- the one I picked was $10.99
$1.00 off from 5/22 SS
$2.00 off Video Values coupon
** $7.99 for 2!! PLUS counts towards the skincare spend $50, get $15 +Up Reward **

Coppertone Suncare- $8.99 sale (Wellness Plus 20% discount made this $7.99)- get $2 +Up Reward
$1.00 off coupon from 5/22 RP
$1.00 off Video Values coupon
** $5.99 OOP PLUS $2.00 +UP Reward earned! AND counts towards the skincare spend $50, get $15 +Up Reward **
**

$31.97 before coupons and discounts
-$12.99 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$3 off $15 survey coupon
-$10 +Up Reward redeemed
-$5.00 coupons
=========================
** $.98 subtotal! **
+ $.96 tax
=========================
** $1.94 OOP! AND I earned another $2 in +UP Rewards PLUS now I'm only $11.25 away from "spending" $50 to earn the $15 skin care +UP Reward! I'll be starting next week with another $3 off $15 survey coupon, plus $4 in +Up Rewards... so I should hit that $50 pretty easily!

It's Mega Swag Bucks Day!

It's Mega Swag Bucks Day today! This means more Swag Bucks for your same everyday searching. Make sure to check special offers (you don't have to sign up for anything, just browse through them and you now get 2 points), answer the daily poll and check for surveys each day for one point each to get 4 extra points each day which really do add up!

You can also print coupons and you get 10 Swag Bucks per redeemed coupon- I'm just starting to see the points started to get credited regularly. Check out my posting about all the different ways to earn points. I'm earning between 50-100 each day now that I've found so many different ways to earn points.

It's a great way to get free gift cards and rewards for everyday internet surfing! My favorite reward is a $5 Amazon gift card for only 450 Swag Bucks.

I don't have the toolbar and still earn tons of points (I don't want any more programs running on my computer). I just keep signed into Swag Bucks all the time and use them to find the websites I'm visiting.

Another great thing about Swag Bucks is you can refer friends and family and you earn points for their wins as well up to 1000 points! So I do ask that if you do decide to sign up, please use the links in my Swag Bucks postings or put down Sarahspendsless as your referral.

Are you signed up for Swag Bucks yet? Do you have any questions about it? I was very hesitant at first, but I'm earning $10-$20 per month in Amazon gift cards and love it!

Lots of Rite Aid shopping!

I took a couple trips to Rite Aid this week- I made it to two stores to make sure I didn't clear any shelves... and despite a bit of a screwup (I ended up having a higher OOP because I forgot to use a $10 +UP Reward- it was in my hand and I didn't realize it until after I paid), I ended up with some good deals. I'm not going to break this down by transaction, but I'll list the matchups I used. I did get a couple friends who don't have kids in diapers to give me their Rite Aid Video Values coupons (and their Twizzlers coupons too!) and my cashiers did not have a problem with me using those.

Raid Ant- $4.23 (with Wellness Plus 20% discount)
$1.00 off (not sure where I found this one)
** $3.23 **

Banana Boat Sunscreen- Buy one, get one FREE- the one I picked was $10.99
$1.00 off from 5/22 SS
$2.00 off Video Values coupon
** $7.99 for 2!! PLUS counts towards the skincare spend $50, get $15 +Up Reward **

Coppertone Suncare- $8.99 sale (Wellness Plus 20% discount made this $8.79)- get $2 +Up Reward
$1.00 off coupon from 5/22 RP
$1.00 off Video Values coupon
** $6.79 OOP PLUS $2.00 +UP Reward earned! **

3- Twizzlers- 2 for $1
3- $1.00 off 2 Video Values coupon
** FREE!! **

~~ Spend $30 in select Kimberly Clark products, get a $10 +Up Reward (limit 2) ~~
5- Huggies Diapers- $8.97
5- $3.00 off printable
3- $1.00 off Huggies Video Values coupon
** $5.97 each! **

Huggies Wipes- $6.97
$.50 off from 5/15 SS
** $6.47 **

2- Huggies Swim Diapers- $6.97
2- $2.00 off from 5/15 SS
** $4.97 OOP **

Total for everything (multiple transactions)

$131.62 before coupons and discounts
-$39.03 Wellness Plus savings and sales
-$31.50 coupons
-$14.00- $3 off $15 coupons/ $1 off $1 Video Values coupons
-$15.00 previously earned +Up Rewards
===================================
** $32.09 subtotal **
+ $4.74 tax
==================================
*** $36.83 OOP! PLUS $12 left in +UP Rewards to spend ***

Now, that should have been $10 less out of pocket... but I had a complete brain freeze at the checkout- and I didn't even have my kids with me! So, I might have raised my OOP, but I still have another $12 left in +Up Rewards.

I might go back for one more trip-- I am pretty stocked on kids sunscreen but would get a couple more adult sunscreens- I have more coupons and can get close to the $50 to earn the $15 +Up Reward.... we'll see what tomorrow brings!

Coupon Information

I thought I'd post a link to one of my favorite blogs- For the Mommas. This month For the Mommas is posting a 30 day "learn to coupon" series for anyone wanting to learn the basics plus more about couponing. Check it out and let me know if you have questions. I think it's always good whether you're new to couponing or need a refresher or additional tips to read this sort of info.

For the Mommas is one of my favorite blogs for Rite Aid deals and unadvertised specials!
