Meijer Deal Picture

This was definitely a better Meijer week! Luckily my mom was here this morning to help with multiple transactions. I got all this at Meijer this morning and spent $29.26 and still have one $5 checkout coupon- so $24.26 for all the stuff in the picture plus bananas that didn't make the picture! There are 2- 24 packs of Ice Mountan Water .5L bottles, 1- 12 pack of Ice Mountain Sport Bottles, 4- 18 oz boxes of Cheerios, 2- Trix, 24- 8oz Kraft cheese (not all for me!), 1 Tropicana Orange Juice (coupon from Quaker deal 2 weeks ago), 6- Pillsbuy crescent rolls, 3- Aunt Millies Healthy Goodness Bread, 1- Garden Fresh Salsa, 1- Garden Fresh Tortilla Chips.

I think that's all.... What a deal! I saved $128.52!! That's around 85% savings!

It's getting to be the end of the month and many coupon sites reset their coupons so make sure to print everything you might use in the next month so you can get multiples when things are on sale! If you like frozen veggies, make sure to print any you find since Meijer usually does the $1 sale every couple weeks.

Hardings Deals

I went to Hardings today to pick up cheese since they had it on sale for 3 for $6- and then a free Nabisco snack cracker when you buy 3. I bought 6 Kraft cheese and used 3- $1 off 2 coupons and then a $2 off 2 Nabisco cracker coupon to get a great deal.
Before coupons and sales this would have been $26.32, after coupons and discounts it was $7.00! That's a 73.4% savings!

Kraft First Taste

I would highly recommend joining Kraft First Taste to get high value Kraft coupons on new products. This week I just got (in the mail) coupons for their new Digiorno 200 Calorie pizza- one free product and one $1.50 off coupon. You have to register and then check the site periodically for offers available- this is the first one that has been mailed- the rest have been printable coupons. After trying the product make sure you go in and review it to make sure the offers keep coming. Let me know what offers you have if you join!

Huggies Enjoy the Ride Rewards

Huggies created a rewards program last year very similar to Pampers Gifts to Grow where you can earn points towards gift certificates, toys and other merchandise. Most Huggies products now have a sticker inside the box or package that has an Enjoy the Ride Rewards code. Each code on the product can be used once. Nabisco Rebate-- Moneymaker!

I found the Keep the Jingle in your Holiday $10 rebate from Nabisco online again today. It's good on Nabisco cracker purchases from 12/01/2009 thru 01/31/2010. Meijer has their Wheat Thins & Triscuits either on sale or price drop for $2.00 this week, and if you can get multiple prints of the $2.00 off 2 Nabisco crackers coupon you can get 10 free Nabisco crackers after rebate (if you can get 5 coupons printed). The picture on the coupon is of Ritz crackers, but the coupon says Nabisco crackers so it should be good on any Nabisco crackers (it's worked fine for me).

** Update ** I was just scrolling through the Meijer Mealbox for updates and they added a $1.00 off 3 Nabisco Snack Crackers coupon! Use 3 of those and make the deal a moneymaker!

Meijer picture of the week

Not as good as last week, but still pretty impressive... 4 boxes of Quaker instant oatmeal packets, 2 large Quaker instant oats, 6 Starkist tuna pouches, 5 Nabisco Cars grahams, 1 new flavor of wheat thins, Tropicana orange juice, bananas, and 2 boxes of Lipton tea.

I spent $8.62 out of pocket and saved $55.90- That's a savings of 86.64%... and I got a checkout coupon for another free Tropicana orange juice. This purchase also puts me at my 10 Nabisco cracker items to qualify for the Keep the jingle in your holiday rebate, so I'll be getting $10 back from Nabisco.

Meijer Mealbox

Meijer Mealbox coupons are printable store coupons on the Meijer website. They are added and removed constantly and they always have varied expiration dates. You can print the coupons as many times as you want. It's best to give the cashier the Mealbox coupons first to avoid the coupon beeping...
Hot Coupon World has a coupon generator for Meijer coupons that allows you to print multiple copies of the same coupon on the same page- I'm not sure how often it's updated, but it can help save paper...

What to do when a Catalina doesn't print...

When you are expecting a Catalina coupon (checkout coupon off your next order) and you know you purchased the correct items, say something to the cashier. Meijer has handled this two different ways for me. The first time I was shorted a Catalina the cashier gave me a handwritten form for the dollar amount I was expecting off my next order. The most recent time I had to go the service desk and I was given printed coupons- I can't recall the exact terminology but it was a Customer Satisfaction Certificate or something of that sort. I had been expecting to receive 3- $3 checkout coupons because I did multiple transactions, and they ended up giving me 4- $2.50 coupons- so I ended up getting an even better deal!

Macomb Money Savers also has a posting on this topic- they give the contact info for the company directly that you should be able to call if there is a problem.

How I get coupons...

I get most of my coupons online, but I also started emailing companies a couple months ago after I found a posting on Couponing to Disney's blog. I contact companies to compliment then on their products and usually receive coupons. I'd recommend that if you start doing this, keep a list or a spreadsheet including what company you contacted, when you contacted them, and then what they respond back to you and then what you end up getting. Once you start sending out the compliments it's easy to lose track of who you have already contacted.

I've received tons of freebies this way- 2 free packs of Huggies diapers, free trash bags, free cleaning products, free coupons off food and other high value coupons.

You can check out Couponing to Disney's website to see all of her contacts. It's great way to save lots of money!

Check out the printable coupons sidebar on my blog to see where I find most of my printable coupons. If I know that I need a particular product at the store, I often will find their website and see if they also may have printable coupons. Yesterday I needed batteries, and Energizer had a $1.00 coupon on their website that I was able to use.

My first Meijer Matchups 1/17-1/23

Welcome to my Meijer matchups! This is my first weekly matchup posting so please be patient as I figure out how to best do these... In order to get the best deals, many of these use manufacturer coupons with Meijer coupons. In addition, the transaction may generate Catalina coupons, which are coupons off your next shopping order (OYNO).

Most manufacturer's coupons can be printed twice from each computer. You will have to use your browser's back button to get the second print- you may have to press back a couple times to get the second coupon. My matchups this week are just going to be the best deals I see that can be done using printable coupons. If you have coupons from the paper, check them first to see if you might have something better. In the upcoming weeks, I'll add coupons from the paper.

Meijer Trip 01/13

I went back to Meijer Wednesday because I found some deals I couldn't pass up. I ended up with 6 Lance snack crackers, 7 bags of Birds Eye steamfresh veggies, 3 Betty Crocker frostings, 12 Dannon yogurts, 2 Pillsbury grands biscuits, 4 Gerber baby food 2pks, 7 boxes of Ronzoni smart taste pasta, 7 bags of Chex mix, 3 bags of Dole salad and a bag of croutons.
I spent $9.93 and SAVED $72.07 and I got a $2.00 checkout coupon off my next purchase. I wish Meijer did great sales like this every week!
