Rite Aid Trip #2
I made another trip to Rite Aid yesterday. I didn't think I'd do as well as my first trip, but I ended up getting everything in the picture for free! I had a prescription transferred to Rite Aid because I had a coupon to get a $25.00 gift card with a transferred prescription- and the prescription was only $3.82!
So, here's what I did after I got the prescription:
Goodnites- $11.99 on sale for $8.99
$2.50 off printable
** $6.49 **
Stayfree- $3.99 on sale for $1.99
$2.00 off coupon from 3/28 RP
** FREE (actually $.03 moneymaker) **
Sure Deodorant- $2.99- on sale for buy one get one free
2- $1.50 off coupons from 5/2 SS
** 2 for FREE ** (Possible moneymaker- the ones I got had a "try me free" sticker on them that I need to look up
Huggies Pure & Natural Diaper- $11.99 on sale for $8.99
$2.50 off printable
$1.00 off Rite Aid Video Values coupon (no longer available)
** $5.49 **
Coppertone- on sale for $8.99
$3.00 off video values coupon
$2.00 off in-ad coupon
** $3.99 ** (there is a manufacturer coupon at coupons.com but I didn't want to test my luck for another dollar off)
Used $5 off $25 coupon
Total before coupons and sales= $52.06
-$13.49 sales
-$28.50 coupons
===============
$10.07- 80% savings
Used part of $25 gift card I got from transferring a prescription=
** FREE!! ** Plus, I might be able to get a rebate for the deodorant with the try me free sticker!
I'm pretty new to Rite Aid shopping, and have not had the best of luck with the Centre Street Rite Aid accepting coupons. I got the pickiest cashier yesterday and she tried to refuse my video values coupon with my in-ad coupon for the sunscreen. Last week she refused a manufacturer coupon with an in-ad coupon but said you could use an in-ad coupon with a video values coupon- so when she tried refusing the combination yesterday I told her that last week she told me that I could use the two and she finally gave in. One win for me! They seem real stuck on the fact that Rite Aid coupons say "manufacturer coupon" on them, although they are really Rite Aid coupons.
Either way, I made out good from this trip and still have $14.93 left on my Rite Aid gift card.

Way to go Sarah! I'm not very good at "fighting" for deals, so way to go on the Coppertone in-ad Q! I'm going to give it a try at the Rite Aid in Paw Paw this morning. Thanks for the inspiration!
